Part-Time Booking Agent (Commission-Based)

We are looking for a part-time booking agent to join our small team at an emerging music management agency and take over securing bookings for our artists. We launched earlier this year and are currently solidifying our roster. We would like someone with some experience in bookings or events and a keen interest in electronic music to come onboard and take control of bookings for the roster. The roster is currently small but growing every few months with high quality artists who have played at some of the biggest UK institutions and festivals.

The role is part-time and you can work from home with flexible hours. Pay is completely based off commission although this is totally uncapped.

You will be responsible for:

- Liaising with venues, clubs, festivals and events in order to secure bookings for artists
- Proactively finding bookings and gigs for our roster
- Making sure that artist requirements are conveyed to the venues
- Negotiating performance fees for each gig (we provide a rough outline although the exact amount is up to you!)
- Independently networking on behalf of the agency with individuals who run various venues and keeping a note of key contact details
- (Optional) Attending gigs and performances as a liaison for the agency
- Aiding the management team with ad hoc managerial duties

We can offer:

- Excellent experience in the industry
- Immediate responsibility for our roster
- Unlimited commission structure
- Able to work from home with flexible hours
- Opportunity to grow into an important role as we grow
- Perks include plenty of gigs

What we are looking for:

- The ability to demonstrate knowledge of the electronic music industry
- Ambitious and determined individual who is able to work independently
- An understanding of music venues and/or clubs, particularly in London
- An interest in being part of a start-up music management agency (with room for advancement)
- The ability to represent our agency in a professional and respectful light

The ideal candidate will have a background in bookings and/or events although this is not a necessity if a strong understanding can be demonstrated. Ideally based in London as there will be regular meetings to attend and these may become more frequent.

If you think this may be of interest then please send your cover letter and CV to [email protected], with the email titled ‘APPLICATION: BOOKING AGENT (NAME)’.

Please note: No applications will be accepted after October 1st 2017.

We look forward to reviewing all submissions.
